ANTHONY WALKER MURDER - UPDATE ON TRIAL Tim Holroyde QC
from Exchange Chambers in Liverpool has been instructed by the Crown
Prosecution Service to lead the high profile Anthony Walker murder
trial. The 18 year old student was killed with an axe in Huyton last
month. Trial to commence in late November 2005.

MARK WARD - JAILED 8 YRS The 42-year-old, who played as a
midfielder for West Ham, Manchester City and Everton, was arrested
after four kilos (9lbs) of cocaine with a street value of up to
£645,000 was discovered during a raid at a house he rented in
Prescot, Merseyside, in May. He was
sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court today after pleading guilty
to possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

£2m LOAN FRAUD Liverpool businessman accused
of running a £2m finance fraud. David Sasson, 45, and Sharon Levy (represented by Hogan Brown),
49, appeared before Bow Street magistrates in London with Carl
Montlake, 54, Michael Rashman, 51, and Laurence Siegler, 61. All are
charged with
conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to obtain money transfers by
deception.

CORPORATE NEGLIGENCE / MANSLAUGHTER After a lengthy
investigation in concert with the Health & Safety Executive, HB has
completed their work into a complex corporate manslaughter charge.

SOFTWARE PIRATE ESCAPES DETENTION On the strength of
forensic assessments of digital evidence, HB have secured a
non-custodial sentence for convicted software pirate.
